Hello! If this is your first time in therapy or if you have been at this for a while, I am thankful you are reaching out to get support on your journey for more healing. My name is Meredith Williamson. I have a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Georgia. I believe that every human has the innate ability to heal and make wise choices, but sometimes life gets messy, and we are not meant to navigate it on our own. My desire is to listen without judgment, offer reflection and feedback, and help draw out of you the wisdom that is already yours. I will strive to honor your identity, your choices, and the pace you want to work at in our time together.

I would love to help if you are experiencing challenges including life transitions, anxiety, depression, other mood disorders or the effects of trauma. I work from a strength-based, person-centered, trauma-informed lens. What this means is that I will base treatment on your individual needs, drawing from many therapy tools such as cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. I will get to know you and your strengths, recognizing that your struggles do not define you. I will work towards building trust between us, at your pace and with sensitivity to your cultural, gender, and spiritual preferences. I would love to be a part of your journey towards reaching your goals in therapy. I welcome you to reach out to me for an initial consultation to see if we would be a good fit.
